Three Ways Christian Women Can Live Out Their Faith Daily

Living out my faith had been a struggle for me; I was convinced that God wanted big gestures of faith to be shown in my life to prove I had faith in him. But I found out the hard way that living out my faith required me to use my gifts to serve others, speak to him daily in prayer, and do things that made me uncomfortable, like writing this weekly blog.

Living out our faith as Christian women can be both beautiful and challenging. It’s not just about going to church on Sunday or reading our Bible occasionally. It’s about making our faith part of our daily life — how we serve, pray, and show courage. If you’ve ever wondered how you can walk in faith more intentionally, here are three simple ways to live out your faith every day, inspired by Scripture and the amazing women of the Bible.

1. Serve Others with a Heart Like Christ

Jesus reminds us in Mark 10:45 that even He “came not to be served but to serve.” Our faith shines the brightest when we put others first, showing love and compassion. Think about Martha, who opened her home and heart to Jesus and His disciples. Yes, she was busy, but her dedication to serving others was her way of showing love (Luke 10:38-42).

How You Can Serve:

  • Volunteer at your church or help out in your community.
  • Offer your time or skills to someone in need — maybe cooking a meal, babysitting, or listening to a friend.
  • Start small: even offering to pray for someone can make a huge difference.

2. Make Prayer a Daily Habit

Prayer isn’t just for the tough times — it’s our daily connection with God. The Bible encourages us to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Just like Hannah, who poured her heart out to God for a child (1 Samuel 1:10-20), we can trust that God listens to every prayer, no matter how big or small.

How to Make Prayer a Part of Your Day:

  • Set aside time each morning or evening to pray. Even five minutes can make a difference.
  • Keep a journal to track your prayers and see how God answers them.
  • Find a prayer partner or join a group. Praying together strengthens our faith.

3. Step Out in Courageous Faith

Sometimes, faith means being brave, even when we’re scared. Joshua 1:9 encourages us to “be strong and courageous” because God is always with us. Think about Esther. She risked her life to save her people, trusting God to guide her (Esther 4:16). We’re not all called to do something as bold as Esther, but we have opportunities to trust God and walk in faith every day.

How to Walk in Courageous Faith:

  • Share your faith story with others. Your testimony could encourage someone else.
  • Take a step toward something you’ve been feeling God nudging you to do, even if it feels scary.
  • Stand up for your beliefs, even when it’s not popular or easy.

Women of the Bible Who Lived Out Their Faith

  • Deborah (Judges 4-5): She led Israel with courage and wisdom, showing us that faith also means stepping into leadership when God calls.
  • Ruth (Book of Ruth): Her loyalty to Naomi and trust in God’s plan is a beautiful reminder that faith often means stepping into the unknown.
  • Mary, Mother of Jesus (Luke 1:26-38): Mary’s willingness to accept God’s plan for her life, despite the risks, is a powerful example of trusting God fully.
