I am asking the Lord for a new home in a beautiful suburb. Not just any home—I have a particular vision. I want:

• 2 to 3 bedrooms
• 2 bathrooms
• A primary bedroom with a walk-in closet and an en suite
• A beautiful yard
• A two-car attached garage
• A gorgeous kitchen with a dishwasher
• An open-concept layout
• A beautiful patio, preferably enclosed

The problem is that I do not have a down payment. My credit has been through the wringer, and I am still working through my divorce. Logically, this dream doesn’t make sense.

I did everything I could to figure out how to make it happen. I calculated numbers, researched programs, and tried to make it work within my human understanding. But one day, I realized something—I couldn’t do this alone.

So, I did the only thing I could: surrender it to God. I am still waiting for my new home to materialize.  I will definitely let you know once I move in, but for now.

I praise Him every day—not just because I want the house but because He gave me the dream. As we get older, we sometimes forget that we’re still allowed to dream. More importantly, we forget that God still has the power to grant those dreams.

If you’re asking God for something so big that it feels impossible, here’s what I want you to do:

1. Focus on What You Can Control & Leave the Rest to God

My grandmother, Leona, always told me this, and she was right. You can’t force things to happen, but you can:

• Keep your faith strong
• Take practical steps when opportunities arise
• Stay open to God’s timing and way of doing things

2. Write Down Your Dream

Habakkuk 2:2 says, “Write the vision and make it plain.” Write your dream down in detail—exactly how you see it. Be bold in your request.

3. Guard Your Dream

Not everyone will understand or support what you believe in God for. Some may encourage you, but others may plant seeds of doubt. Be careful who you share your dream with.

4. Shut Down Doubt Before It Takes Root

If doubt creeps in, take it to the Lord immediately. Ask Him to strengthen your faith. Remember who God is—He has parted seas, healed the sick, and raised the dead. Your dream is not too big for Him.

5. Praise God in Advance

Thank Him before you see it happen. Worship Him for being a God who hears, sees, and provides.

If you’re dreaming of something that seems impossible, know this: God is not limited by your circumstances. Keep your faith, keep your praise, and keep believing.
