Hello friends,

Today, we celebrate Easter, the day our Savior, Jesus Christ, rose from the grave just as He promised:
“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.”Matthew 28:6 (NIV)

It’s a time filled with celebration, reflection, and renewal. It’s also filled with traditions for many of us, such as selecting the perfect Easter dress, preparing baskets for the kids, and coordinating Sunday dinner with family. I remember how important those things were to me when my children were younger. I’d spend days getting everything just right, from their outfits to the menu my grandmother and aunts, and I would lovingly plan.

But if I’m being honest, it wasn’t until I was further along my faith journey that I truly grasped what we were celebrating. Having grown up a Jehovah’s Witness, I was late to the party when it came to understanding the cost of the resurrection. I didn’t fully comprehend the depth of what Jesus did, how a perfect and blameless Savior willingly took the beating, the betrayal, and the shame that belonged to me. Not just to die but to rise again in victory, offering hope that goes beyond this life.

And here’s the truth I want to share today:
The resurrection isn’t just a historical event; it’s a daily invitation to live with power, freedom, and purpose.

So, in today’s blog, I want to reflect on three reasons why Christ’s sacrifice is just as vital to us as Christian women in the 21st century as it was to the early church. Let’s hold tightly to the power of the resurrection in our everyday walk with Christ.

1. The Resurrection Proves That Redemption Is Real

We all carry something—mistakes, regrets, hurts and hurts we can’t quite shake. But the cross says, “It is finished” (John 19:30), and the empty tomb says, “You are free.”

Redemption isn’t a concept reserved for sermons—it’s our inheritance as daughters of the King. Whether you’re battling shame from your past, doubt in your present, or fear for your future, the resurrection reminds you that nothing is beyond God’s power to restore.

You are not too far gone. You are not too late. You are redeemed because He lives.

2. The Resurrection Gives Us Power for Today

Life is hard. From balancing motherhood, marriage, work, and ministry to healing from heartbreak and loss, it’s easy to feel worn down. But Jesus didn’t just die to save us; He rose so we could live empowered.

Romans 8:11 says,
“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.”

That same resurrection power lives in you, sister. It equips you to say no to fear, yes to purpose, and to stand firm in your identity as a beloved child of God. You are not powerless. You are filled with the Spirit of the Living God.

3. The Resurrection Calls Us to Walk Boldly

The early Christians weren’t admired—they were persecuted. But they believed the resurrection meant something real. They risked everything because they were changed.

As modern Christian women, we face different battles—some spiritual, some societal. But we’re still called to walk boldly in faith. The resurrection reminds us that no matter the challenge, we walk with a Savior who has already overcome it all.

We don’t shrink back—we rise. We live as light. We love boldly. We forgive fiercely. We follow Jesus, even when it’s unpopular because we know the truth of the empty tomb.

Sisters, the resurrection cost was high, but so was its value.
Let us never take lightly the price Jesus paid or the victory we’ve inherited because of it.
