Hello everyone, and welcome to Empowered Faith Media, where we share the perfect love of Christ in an imperfect world.  Today, we’re talking about something so many of us struggle with: how to take the beautiful feelings of faith, hope, and love we experience on Sunday in church and carry them into the rest of the week.

 Monday is probably the most disliked day of the week.  Like many of you, I love going to church.  I love the connection, the reverence, the pastor’s sermon, the hymns, communion, and the fellowship afterward.  But too often, that feeling doesn’t last.  By Wednesday, or even by Monday afternoon, we’re already drained, waiting for the following Sunday to refill our spirit.

But you don’t have to lose that connection.  Today, I want to share three practical ways you can take what you’ve received on Sunday and let it carry you through the week:

1.  Start Each Day with Scripture and Prayer

Begin your mornings by reading even just a few verses of Scripture and praying for God’s guidance.  This small daily ritual reminds you that the same God you worship on Sunday is with you on Monday morning, too.

2.  Carry Worship into Your Week

Turn on your favorite worship music while driving, working, or cooking dinner.  Singing and listening to songs of praise can lift your spirit and re-center your heart when stress or negativity creeps in.

3.  Live Out Love in Small Acts

Faith grows stronger when we put it into practice.  Look for simple ways to serve others, a kind word to a coworker, checking in on a friend, or offering patience when it’s hard.  These everyday acts of love extend the church experience into real life.
